UX Strategy for porsche.com/stories

porsche.com/stories is a Porsche website about lifestyle and Porsche content beyond the car. The user can read and explore the Porsche brand. The goals for this website were not defined. With the UX strategy the aim was to come up with a high-level plan for an improved user experience.

  • Team workshop
  • UX strategy
  • Jobs-to-be-done
  • Backlog
  • Design concepts

My role

Creating a UX strategy, from high-level into tangible solutions and outcomes.

Value propositions and design concepts

AMBOSS Home (the dashboard) was ignored by most users. The goal was to define a new, meaningful landing experience, to enable user conversion and retention.

  • Value propositions
  • Design concepts workshop
  • Stakeholder validation
  • Concepts as a story

My role

Defining project approach and steps to come to final designs for the app landing page for AMBOSS.

PoC / Experience Vision: English digital first

Given the shortage of time and resources, we had to visualise the core product idea in a fast and easy way. A concept scenario with a storyline was the perfect format, instead of a full-blown clickthrough prototype. The scenario was taken to validate the product market-fit and how this product would relate strategically to the company goals.

  • Scope & deliverables
  • Elevator pitch
  • Storyboard
  • Ideation workshop
  • Scenario & prototype
  • Concept testing

My role

UX lead, strategy & execution.

Voice guidelines & principles for automotive

The voice technology for this project was given, but there was a blank page on how to execute voice interaction for the user. The challenge was to develop an overall voice UX concept and guidelines for automotive, which could be used as guiding principles for detailed voice specifications and implementation.

  • Voice benchmark
  • Voice design principles
  • Proof of concept
  • Voice specification & implementation

My role

As a principal designer I led the product design from the start, through strategy to delivery.

Use-cases for electric vehicles

We had to identify user needs and opportunity areas for electric vehicles beyond RFQs from OEMs, to showcase the best customer experience to clients. Understand the differences to conventional cars and driving in terms of charging, driving behaviour and consumption patterns (such as range anxiety).

  • Desk research & synthesis
  • Field test with 4 electric vehicles
  • Final report on EV use cases
  • Jobs-to-be-done backlog

My role

As a user research team lead I was responsible for the strategy & definition of project approach and scope.

HERE Auto: Connected navigation solutions

Part of my job was the E2E experience for the automotive products. From pre-trip planning, going into the car, to last mile guidance. This included cloud services that offered seamless experiences in and out of the car, across multiple devices. Therefore the experience had to be highly modular and easily adapted to various frameworks. Working on HERE Auto required close collaboration with clients such as BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Audi and Volvo.

  • HERE Auto strategy
  • Companion app experience
  • First mile, last mile guidance
  • Core/cloud features

My role

As a principal designer I led the E2E strategy and definition of core/cloud features, execution & continuous improvement.
